Find your keys all the time!

In case some of you tend to loose your keys, or your spouse accidentally takes your set, here is a tip to help you find your keys. Buy the key hangers at your local Hardware store or Walmart and hang them on your cabinet or a familiar place. Also make two extra sets and you will always be able to find them. Sky and I had two episodes of not having our keys when we needed them and so now the problem is solved. Thanks Sky!

CVS deals!

Last night I went to CVS to take advantage of the deals. I had $12 in ECB's that I needed to spend and I also knew there was some deals that I wanted to take advantage of. The Energy drinks were $4.99 receive $4.99 ECB, The pert plus was BOGO $3.99 and I had 2 $2 coupons from Sundays Newspaper making them free. The dawn dishsoap was $.88 and I used 2 $.50 coupons from Sundays newspaper. The toothpaste was $2.99 and I used this coupon http://offers.e-centives.com/siflo/reg/survey.cfm?s=Yz0xJmY9MSZjdT0xJmJxPTEmdmlkPTUyOCZvPTE4MTU0MTYmcD00NjEmcHQ9NiZjbz0zMjcmZndlYj0xJnNjPTMyNyZjaWQ9MTAwNDcxMjg5NCZyVVJMPSUyRnNpZmxvJTJGcG9zdHJlZ2lzdGVyJTJFY2ZtJTNGdmlkJTNENTI4JTI2dCUzRDYlMjZzJTNEMzgxNjc4MjklMjZtYiUzRDUzMjQlMjZmd2ViJTNEMSUyNmNvJTNEMzI3JTI2c2MlM0QzMjclMjZpZCUzRDhmYTdlOTMwJTJEOTgyOCUyRDQ0NzglMkQ5OTM4JTJEN2MyZDJhYTMzYTM0JnM9MzgxNjc4MjkmbWI9NTMyNCZpZD04ZmE3ZTkzMC05ODI4LTQ0NzgtOTkzOC03YzJkMmFhMzNhMzQ%3D saving me $1.50, plus I received $2 ECB's. The candy deal was mainly done because my brother is getting married soon, and the gummy lifesavers are for my little daughter during the ceremony. Of course she is not getting it all but upon my mother-n-laws suggestion those might help with her listening. :) I had two BOGO free coupons from the paper for those and then I also added the chocolate to bring up the total. My total was $27 and after coupons it was $13. I handed her my $12 ECB's and then the total was $.16 on a gift card.
I told my husband I better post because some of you guys might want to try some of these deals.
Here is also a link that you might want to use to help you save $2 off $10- http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/2008/08/g-r-e-a-t-news.html

The End of the Blog

Hi to my friends and Family!
Thanks so much for your nice comments to me (mainly in person :) as I have posted these deals. I am going to stop this blog for now. I still love saving money and sharing but it seems lately blogging is the last thing on my mind. I also started this blog to help some of my friends and family to understand the CVS game and Publix deals, and just the joy of couponing. There are also lots of websites that I have mentioned that help save money already. Moneysavingmom.com is the top one on my mind. She does a great job!

It has been neat to see how many of you have caught on and have been able to benefit your family as well as to give to others.
Thanks again!
I will still try to share in person if the deal is too good to be true. :)

CVS deal

I thought I would post.
I have been out of town and this deal is worth doing so I thought I would share.
Softwoap body wash (spa radiant) is pay $4.99 get $4.99 back. You can do this deal 5 x's and that means if you have any coupons it makes this deal even sweeter. I was able to buy diapers and 3 softsoaps for $.11 out of my pocket after ECB's and coupons.

Also just to give you all a update. We have lost our digital camera so for the time being we will not be posting pictures. I know it is bummer but I am praying our camera turns up. If not.....we just won't think about that right now. :)

Sloppy Joes

Tonight I thought I would try out making Sloppy joes from scratch. Not that I make sloppy joes alot, it probably has been a year since I had one. I used a Betty Crocker cookbook and it turned out pretty good. I also mad homemade bread to go along with it. Corn, sweet potatoes and salad also were fixed.
The recipe for the sloppy joes is-
1 pd lean ground beef and cook with 1/2 onion diced, and 1/4 cup diced celery.
Drain and add 1 cup ketchup,1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp ground mustard, 1/8tsp pepper.
Bring to a boil, and then simmer4 uncovered for 10 - 15 min.
Stir occasionally, until veg. are tender.
Enjoy!

Frugal family fun

Our family is fortunate enough to live within ten minutes of the beach. Tonight we loaded up the van and took off for a adventure. It was such a fun time and we loved collecting butterfly shells.

The Lord has truly blessed us with this beauty. Remember you do not have to always spend money to make memories. Have a wonderful night!
